Program Description
-First phase i.e January to June 2026 is an online phase or Distance learning phase wherein the trainees are provided with all the 14 modules to go through each of them in details for conceptual and theoretical knowledge. There are 3 important components of the first phase - Maintaining portfolios, writing and submission of assignment and organizing orientation and tutorials. The trainees maintained portfolios throughout the first phase with a support of mentors assigned by the institute. The assignments question receives from coordinator of DCGC NIE NCERT was written and submitted by the trainees. Both the task were further scaffold-ed during the tutorials. The orientation cum tutorial was held on 29 and 30 January 2026 through online mode which is followed by 3 day tutorial during 10-12 February 2026 and an online tutorial on 18 & 19 June 2026.
-Second Phase from June- September which is known as face to face mode, here the trainees physical presents is compulsory and attending daily classes as per schedule is mandatory. During this phase the main focus is 5 practicum for this they are exposed to demo classes, actual school functioning and execution of activities such as career talk, group guidance, psychological assessment, counseling of cases, career exhibition and field visit etc. The trainees were also nurtured to organized programs related to guidance and counseling in the school which will be followed by their presentation and written examination in the institute.
-Third Phase comprises of an internship on the basis of their proposal presented and approved by the mentor. The internship which is also known as the implementation phase will be guided by 1 internal and 1 external supervisor. At the end the trainees have to submit the internship report.

1.To develop conceptual understanding, knowledge, and professional competencies among trainees in the principles and practices of guidance and counseling. 2. To provide practical and supervised experiences for developing trainees’ skills in planning, implementing, and evaluating guidance and counseling services in educational settings.
