Capacity Building of KRPs on ICT in Learning-Teaching at Secondary Stage in North Eastern States

Program Description
This program is proposed based on the need identified by the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Tripura. Since ICT is one of the focus areas in NEP 2020, the programme has been proposed for all the NE states. The use of new technologies in education implies new teacher roles, new pedagogies and new approaches to teacher education. The successful integration of ICT into the classroom will depend on the ability of teachers to structure the learning environment in new ways, to merge new technology with a new pedagogy, to develop socially active classrooms, encouraging co-operative interaction, collaborative learning and group work. This requires a different set of classroom management skills. The teaching skills of the future will include the ability to develop innovative ways of using technology to enhance the learning environment, and to encourage technology literacy, knowledge deepening and knowledge creation. The programme has been proposed keeping in view the recommendations of NEP 2020 to integrate ICT in Learning –Teaching processes.

• To acquaint the Participants about the need and importance of ICT in Learning- Teaching Process • To enhance ICT integration skills in Learning- Teaching Process • To educate and orient the participants on use of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) technologies in the Teaching-Learning Process • To empower the participants on the recommendation of NEP 2020 related to the integration of ICT
